Offsite Special Events
Chef Iverson is no stranger to cooking in less than optimal conditions. As the Executive Chef at the acclaimed Viking Yurt, he prepared five-course gourmet meals in a tiny open kitchen with no running water and only solar electricity. And, as an executive chef at the USA House during the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he and a multi-national team prepared gold medal cuisine for dignitaries and athletes in a makeshift outdoor kitchen wedged into an urban alleyway! Now with Iverson Catering, his same creative thinking and calm demeanor have led to many successful off-premise events in locations ranging from city streets to tented backyards to remote golf courses. "I enjoy the challenge of preparing not only a world-class meal offsite, but also of creating an experience as memorable and enjoyable as you would find in any more civilized and conventional locale," explains Chef Iverson.
Whats more, the entire off-premise event was 100% Kosher. With a rabbi on site at all times, the staff of Iverson Catering worked out of two separate remote kitchens: one for meat products and one for dairy and other foods. Strict orthodox practices were adhered to at all times, which required some very imaginative cooking from Chef Iverson and his crew. The result? Scrumptious food that met the dietary and religious guidelines of the events hosts, and pleased the discriminating palettes of the guests.
